about

Some songs sound "written" while others seem like they've always been there. That's why I get excited about music I hear in dreams. Like "Wake Up The Whole World", which came to me as a "Rubber Soul" outtake. It was just there. These songs come from moods and small moments. I wrote, "Aubergine" on a green plastic uke on an inner tube in the Gulf of Mexico. "Gotta Go' was blurted out on a hurried drive to meet a friend at Bongo Java. I swiped a cool chord idea for "Blue Horizon" from the Burt Bacharach session I played harmonica on. I want to live in a world where music like this exists. I'm so hoping that you enjoy it. - Hoke
